A very witty and wry gentleman...right he is. Though I think one other reason they don't call it a "war" on drugs, is that they are not as warlike a people as we are down here. It does seem to be our only descriptor...we declare war on everything.

Don't blame all of us for the one we have in the White House. There are good people trying to make a difference here. It's capitolism run-a-muk!

Who else is to blame veggiesandy? Well ok, maybe FOX who announced Bush president way to early and all the other televisionnetworks who followed. Of course do people outside of the U.S. know that there are also americans who don't support Bush... but we also know that there are A LOT of Americans who sadly do...

Suzcky...you are completely ignorant of the facts. Also, I can tell that you have seen farenheit 9-11, wow, what a waste of your time and money. As your are probably not aware, Fox news followed suit with the other networks and called florida for Gore at 7:52 PM. (Before the polls had even closed) Then...at 10PM, CNN and CBS called Florida for Bush. It was not until 2AM that Fox retracted its previous statement of Gore winning Florida. That is a full 4 hours after CNN and CBS. This is the kind of crap that pisses me off. "Americans need to get educated." "Americans are ignorant!" Save it. You just showed yourself to be ignorant and so not objective it isn't even funny. If you have a problem with Bush that's fine (I have many of them myself) as long as it is based on facts. you hate the war in Iraq? Fine. Hate our foreign policy? Fine. Just don't spew anymore of the Fox News and Bush stole the election crap anymore. It makes you sound unintelligent and discredits anything else you have to say.

Sadly Bush DID steal the election. Thousands of democratic ballots were thrown out and not counted b/c the Republicans stopped the counting while Bush was ahead. But I guess that doesn't matter now, those 4 years are gone to hell.
It's really sad that you have to resort to name calling, Ben.

To Zephyr--Actually Zephyr they did a couple official recounts and 5 outside sources did unofficial recounts and those recounts had Bush winning every time. Gore only wanted recounts in certain counties that he thought he might be able to win if recounted and didn't want to recount the whole state. Also, I was mainly irritated at her "Fox stole the election" comment because it's simply not true. I don't really see how they could do that anyway. Once the polls are closed the polls are closed.
When did I call anybody any names?

I would like to add that I am not as blatantly right wing as you probably think I am, I just get sick of people spouting their party's tired old rhetoric (dem or rep) without finding anything out for themselves.
